By car

By boat/barge

We are conveniently located a two-minute walk from the Bridgewater Canal with nearby moorings available. For more information on moorings, please click here (‘Moore Village’ moorings are closest).

By foot or bicycle

We are conveniently located next to the Bridgewater Way - a 39-mile (65km) leisure route for walkers and cyclists along the Bridgewater Canal which stretches from central Manchester/Leigh through Cheshire to Runcorn.

If approaching Moore from the South (i.e. from Runcorn or Preston Brook), you can reach us across the fields by using the following exit from the tow path:

If approaching Moore from the North (i.e. from Walton, Warrington, Lymm), you can reach us by using the following exit from the tow path:

We are about a 45 minute walk / 15 minute bike ride from the TransPennine Trail. A map of the TransPennine Trail is available here. Directions from the TransPennine Trail via Moore Nature Reserve to us are available here.

If walking from the TransPennine Trail or Moore Nature Reserve, you can cut across the fields after you have crossed the Moore Lane Swing Bridge and passed the farm entrance with horse head statues at the gates, here:

Follow the path through the fields and cross the small railway bridge by the rugby club. You will eventually arrive at the T-junction of a small residential street (Gigg Ln onto Moss Ln). Turn left and follow the road until you reach the S-bend at the main road (Runcorn Rd). Turn right and we will be visible just down the main road around the corner on the left.
